Kawempe Takes the Spotlight: October Award Nominees Revealed

The Finance Trust Bank Women Super League is set to resume this weekend after a two-week break that allowed the Crested Cranes to participate in international friendlies.

The national team returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo with two impressive victories.

As the league resumes, Finance Trust Bank has introduced the Monthly Awards which will recognize outstanding performances in the league, starting with the month of October.

Nominees for Player of the Month include Agnes Nabukenya and Josephine Nambuya from Kawempe Muslim, and Angel Kigongo from Uganda Martyrs.

Coach of the Month nominees are Kiyingi Ayub (Kawempe), Bulega Faridah (Amus College), and Nyanzi Medhi (Lady Doves).

Key Fixtures to Watch

* She Corporate vs. Makerere University: This highly anticipated derby will take place at MUBS on Sunday.

* Kampala Queens vs. Rines: Kampala Queens, now under new management following the departure of head coach Charles Ayiekoh, will face Rines at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Saturday.

* Kawempe Muslim vs. Amus College: The undefeated defending champions, Kawempe Muslim, will look to extend their winning streak to five when they travel to face Amus College on Sunday.

As the league resumes, fans are eager to see how the return of national team players will impact their respective clubs.
