The 2024 Masaza Cup final is set for Saturday, as Kyaggwe face Buddu at the newly refurbished Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
This final marks the tournament’s return to Namboole since 2019, when Bulemezi narrowly triumphed over Busiro.
As one of the biggest events in Ugandan sports, the Masaza Cup final is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, drawing supporters from across the country.
Fans of both competing teams, Kyaggwe and Buddu, are expected to pack the stadium, eager to witness the conclusion of this year’s tournament.
This year’s match brings added excitement, as Kyaggwe makes its debut appearance in a Masaza Cup final.
Buddu, on the other hand, brings experience, having reached the final seven times and secured victories in 2016 and 2021.
The winner of Saturday’s clash will succeed Bulemezi, who won the title in 2023 after defeating record-holders Gomba 1-0 at Wankulukuku Stadium.
The main event will kick off at 3 p.m., following a curtain-raiser third-place playoff between Kyaddondo and Buweekula at 12 p.m.
With the stakes high and anticipation growing, this year’s Masaza Cup final promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Buganda’s sporting spirit.
