Kabugo: Beyond the Match Official and the Cause of His Sudden Death

The Ugandan sports community is mourning the sudden death of Peter Kabugo, an assistant referee who tragically collapsed while officiating an Uganda Premier League match on Friday.

Kabugo, aged 27, was serving as a linesman during SC Villa’s 5-0 win over UPDF at the Wankulukuku Stadium when he suffered an asthmatic attack that led to cardiac arrest.
