The fourth edition of the FUFA Primary Schools Championship (Odilo) is set to commence on November 10th at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The tournament, which culminates on November 20th, promises to showcase the nation’s young footballing talent.
Draws Conducted
The draw ceremony, held on November 7th at the FUFA Complex, divided the participating teams into groups for both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
Boys’ Category:
Group A: Oasis Primary School, Green Valley Primary School, St. Catherine of Siena Primary School, and Vision for Children Junior School.
Group B: Paorihner Primary School, Source of Hope Primary School, St. Mary’s Primary School, and Rays of Grace Primary School.
Girls’ Category:
Group A: Aterai Primary School, Source Light Primary School, Good Foundation Primary School, and Ineza Primary School.
Group B: Prime View Education Primary School, Hope Primary School, Habanom Quality Academy, and Oasis Primary School.
Dr. Apollo Ahimbisibwe, FUFA Executive Committee Member and Chairman of the Odilo Championship organizing committee, emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent.
“Football starts at the grassroots level, and FUFA is dedicated to developing the game across the country. This tournament is a crucial step in identifying and nurturing future football stars,” he stated.
The girls’ category will be played first, from November 10th to 14th, followed by the boys’ category from November 16th to 20th.
The champions of both categories will represent Uganda at the FEASSA Games.
