The campaign, which previously visited Victorian, Global, and Mbogo High Schools, has made significant strides in raising awareness about climate change and its impact on sports.

Key activities undertaken by the commission include:

Distribution of educational materials: The commission distributed banners and plaque cards to schools, serving as visual reminders of the importance of environmental stewardship.

Tree planting initiatives: To promote green spaces and carbon sequestration, the commission organized tree-planting activities at each school.

Climate change education: Students were educated on the causes and effects of climate change, as well as practical strategies to mitigate its impact.

Sustainable sports practices: The commission emphasized the integration of sustainability principles into sports activities, encouraging athletes and organizations to adopt eco-friendly approaches.

By empowering young people to become agents of change, the NOC Sustainability Commission aims to create a more sustainable future for Uganda and the global sports community.
