“It is always an honor to wear the Uganda Cranes shirt, and I carry it with great pride and respect,” he said.

The midfielder extended his appreciation to his teammates, the technical staff, and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for their role in the qualification campaign.

He also reserved special thanks for the fans, whose unwavering support he credited as a driving force behind the team’s success.

“To you, the fans, I can’t thank you enough for the unwavering support you’ve shown throughout the qualification campaign,” Lwanga stated.

Reflecting on the challenges faced during the campaign, Lwanga acknowledged moments where the team and individuals fell short but reaffirmed their determination to improve.

“Though there were challenges along the way, where we fell short — myself included — we are determined to improve and do better in the future,” he added.

He called on fans to continue standing with the team as they prepare for the AFCON tournament in Morocco next year.

“Please continue standing with us as we strive for greater success,” he concluded.

Uganda Cranes concluded their AFCON 2025 qualifiers with a decisive 1-0 victory over Congo in Brazzaville, marking their third qualification in eight years.
