The Guinness Matchday campaign continues to delight football enthusiasts across Uganda, bringing fans closer to the action of the Premier League.
Over the weekend, Mbarara and Gulu joined the growing list of cities where lucky winners secured all-expenses-paid trips to London to watch the Premier League live.
Esther Nakala and David Muzale were the latest fans to secure their tickets, adding their names to the roster of winners that already includes Jonan Kato and Diphas Kansiime from Kampala.
All four will experience the thrill of the London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham on January 14, 2025.
Esther’s win in Mbarara came as a complete surprise. She recalled, “I am so excited about winning this ticket! What started as a simple bet with my husband on an Arsenal game has turned into the opportunity of a lifetime. I can’t believe it!”
Her absence during the announcement didn’t dampen the celebrations, as she rushed to Shooters Bar to accept her prize amid cheers and applause.
David Muzale claimed his ticket in Gulu, capping a weekend of excitement for fans in the region.
Guinness Brand Manager Rogers Kasozi highlighted the brand’s commitment to creating magical moments for fans.
“Guinness is all about adding a touch of magic to every matchday,” he said. “We’re committed to meeting our consumers at their passion points. Watching a Premier League game live is the ultimate dream for any football fan, and we’re making it happen through Guinness Matchday.”
The campaign, a collaboration between Guinness and the Premier League, aims to transform how fans experience football by providing opportunities to engage directly with the sport they love. Kasozi hinted at even more surprises ahead, urging fans to stay tuned.
