Spice Football Club Entebbe emerged victorious in the inaugural Entebbe Mental Health Football Cup.
The tournament, organized by Munnange Counseling Center (MCC), took place on November 27th at the Works Playground in Entebbe.
The match, themed “Championing Mental Health among the Youth,” was a fierce contest between Spice FC and Special Forces Command (SFC).
The two teams battled to a 3-3 draw in regulation time, forcing a penalty shootout that saw Spice FC prevail with a score of 5-4.
Charles Odeke’s brace and Arafat Dafala’s goal were crucial for Spice FC’s success. The jubilant captain, Dan Chan, was presented with the trophy by renowned golfer Jovia Tugume Namaara, who emphasized the importance of sports in promoting healthy lifestyles.
Deputy Mayor Charles Kabwama commended MCC for their efforts in raising awareness about mental health and encouraging responsible living among the youth.
The event was further supported by TASO Entebbe, which provided health services to attendees.
