Divine Mukasa delivered a standout performance as Manchester City’s Under-18s closed 2024 with a commanding 4-1 victory over Stoke City.
The midfielder, who is of Ugandan descent scored twice, showcasing his skill and composure, and played a pivotal role in a beautifully constructed opener that set the tone for the match.
Mukasa’s first goal came in the 33rd minute after an exquisite dummy sequence with Matty Warhurst, allowing him to fire a left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
He added a second early in the second half, weaving through Stoke’s defense before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper. His contributions solidified City’s dominance in their ninth consecutive league win.
City’s other goals came from Charlie Courtman, who scored his first league goal, and Christian Dunbar-McDonald, who sealed the victory in the final minutes. Stoke’s lone goal was a header by Tommy McNally.
The win ensures Divine Mukasa’s team remains second in the Under-18 Premier League North, two points behind Manchester United.
