The 2024 Corporate Games season concluded in style with a glamorous awards dinner held at Silver Springs Hotel, Bugolobi, Kampala, on Friday, 13th December.
The evening marked a celebration of camaraderie, competitive excellence, and corporate unity, attracting participants, officials, and corporate executives from across Uganda.
Guests arrived as early as 5 PM, dressed in elegant designer outfits, filling the hotel’s beautifully decorated hall.
The night featured sumptuous meals, an endless flow of drinks, and electrifying music, including the trending hit “Kinawolovu” by Nandor Love, which kept the celebrants on their feet.
The event served as an opportunity to reflect on the intense yet fulfilling sports season. Amidst laughter and vibrant interactions, certificates, medals, and trophies were presented to the standout companies and individuals.
The highlight of the evening was the majestic dance moves showcased by winners as they collected their awards, adding a touch of spectacle to the occasion.
Top Honors
St Francis Nsambya Hospital emerged as the overall winner, claiming the coveted Globe Trophy. Darling and Total Energies were recognized as first and second runners-up, respectively.

In the individual sports categories, St Francis Nsambya Hospital dominated football and chess, while SCD Darling triumphed in netball, cycling, and swimming.
Notable Guests
The dinner brought together top corporate leaders, including Jeniffer Bamuturaki (CEO, Uganda Airlines), Joe Kigozi (Deputy CEO, Next Media), and Maj Edgar Ankwasa (General Manager, NEC UZIMA Limited). Kigozi, the night’s chief guest, emphasized the games’ role in promoting team-building and physical fitness.
“The Corporate Games are an incredible platform for team-building, fitness, and fostering unity among institutions. As Next Media, we are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to future seasons,” Kigozi said.
Unveiling the 2025 Edition
The awards dinner also served as the launchpad for the 2025 Corporate Games. Chairperson Ian Rumanyika promised an expanded and more vibrant edition, with plans to include more companies and activities.
“We are grateful to all companies, partners, and sponsors for their dedication and support. The 2025 season will be bigger and better, and we invite more companies to join us,” Rumanyika stated.
The 2024 Corporate Games were not solely about sports but also focused on corporate social responsibility, with impactful initiatives in health and education.
