The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) has extended an invitation to musicians Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, and Pius Mayanja, better known as Pallaso, to resolve their escalating feud through an organised boxing match.
The call comes amid violent clashes between the two artists and their respective groups, including a chaotic standoff during the Empele Festival in Buloba, and raiding of Alien Skin’s home by Pallaso and his gang.
In a social media video, UBF President Moses Muhangi criticised the street brawls between the artists, urging them to channel their energy into a regulated platform.
“Alien Skin and Pallaso shouldn’t be fighting on the street. They should have a well-organised boxing match to settle their differences instead,” Muhangi said.
Muhangi also highlighted the involvement of professional boxers within the entourages of the artists, warning that such associations risk tarnishing the reputation of the sport.
He emphasized that the proposed match would not only offer a safer avenue for conflict resolution but also promote corporate boxing—a concept UBF has been championing.
Corporate boxing, which allows celebrities and public figures to engage in professional bouts, has gained traction in Uganda.
The recent Boxing Day showdown between musicians Grenade Official and Rickman was part of the climax of Season 3 of the Uganda Boxing Champions League (UBCL), and drew significant attention.
Rickman emerged victorious, ending a long-standing feud that originated from personal disputes involving Sheilah Gashumba.
For Pallaso and Alien Skin, the stakes are similarly high. According to Muhangi, both artists fall within the same weight category, making them ideal opponents.
“If they are confident, they should settle their differences in the ring. The winner will be awarded a belt, providing a legitimate conclusion to their conflict,” he added.
The ongoing feud between the artists has escalated alarmingly over the past days, with incidents of violence reported during New Year’s celebrations.
The controversy stems from Pallaso’s December 31, 2024, performance at the Enkuuka Festival, where he reportedly directed harsh remarks toward fellow artist Alien Skin.
Then, during Pallaso’s performance at the Empele Festival on New Year’s Day, Alien Skin and his gang stormed the stage, causing chaos that escalated into violent altercations.
The group reportedly attacked Pallaso, forcing him to abandon the venue and flee in his car.
In retaliation, Pallaso’s group allegedly stormed Alien Skin’s residence in Makindye, causing extensive damage to property, including burning of a Range Rover.
According to Police, the attack left two individuals hospitalised and resulted in the theft of six million Ugandan shillings.
Besides Muhangi, fellow musician and rapper Raymond Kaiza, also known as Big Tril called upon Pallaso and Alien Skin to settle their differences in the ring, as such unorganised confrontations could turn fatal.
“It’s all fun and games until someone dies for no reason,” Big Tril remarked, urging musicians to resolve disputes in the studio or through organised platforms like corporate boxing.
