The Uganda Golf Union (UGU) has unveiled an ambitious and diverse 2025 calendar, promising a thrilling year for golfers across the country.
The schedule features a mix of established tournaments, exciting new additions, and a groundbreaking shift for the prestigious Uganda Open series.
For the first time in its history, the Uganda Open will venture beyond the traditional confines of Kampala, Serena, and Entebbe Golf Clubs.
The championship will be hosted by the newly opened Lugazi Hills Golf and Country Club from August to September.
The 2025 calendar boasts a host of exciting new events, including the Pearl of Africa Golf Series, the Muema Challenge, and the Chinese Community Tournament.
These additions complement established favorites like the White Horse Inn Open in Kabale, which will once again bring the season to a close in December. The year kicks off with the Masaka fundraiser on January 18 at the Uganda Golf Club, setting the stage for a year-long celebration of the sport.
Furthermore, the schedule includes a strong focus on grassroots development with the inclusion of children’s championships and regional fundraisers.
