The championship kicked off with intense qualifiers in Bulamogi Chiefdom, where Kisambira Yazid emerged victorious in the Tippa category, while Mukisa Amos claimed top honors in the Mountain Sport Bike category.

In Luuka Chiefdom, Andrew Musitwa and Mensuramu Magemeso emerged as the top cyclists in their respective categories.

Day two of the qualifiers witnessed high-octane action in Bunhole-Bunhanumba and Bukooli Chiefdoms.

Nelson Lukakamwa, a 22-year-old cyclist, showcased impressive speed and strategy in Bunhole-Bunhanumba, securing victory in the Mountain Sport Bike category. In Bukooli, the reigning Tippa champion, Tiff Luganda, demonstrated his dominance, clinching first place.

The championship has not only showcased the exceptional cycling talent within the Busoga region but has also fostered a strong sense of community and unity.

MTN, the proud sponsor of the championship, has commended the dedication of the participants and the organizing committee.

“We are delighted to witness the passion and sportsmanship displayed by the cyclists,” said Dennis Harindimana, MTN’s Marketing Manager. “MTN is proud to support this initiative and contribute to the development of sports within the Busoga region.”
