The partnership aims to elevate the profile of golf in Uganda, offering extensive coverage of the competition and increasing accessibility for fans and aspiring golfers.

The Pearl of Africa Golf Series, which teed off on Wednesday at the Uganda Golf Club, is set to be a landmark event in Ugandan golf.

It features both professional and gross golfers, with a broader goal of fostering competition and promoting environmental sustainability.

The series will be played across three prestigious courses—the Uganda Golf Club, Entebbe Golf Club, and Lugazi Golf Club—offering prize money for both professional and amateur golfers.

Speaking about the partnership, Andrew Kabuura, Head of Sports Broadcast at Next Media, reaffirmed the media house’s commitment to amplifying the sport’s reach and inspiring the next generation of Ugandan golfers.

Mark Namanya, the Public Relations Officer for the Pearl of Africa Golf Series, welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of media exposure in driving the tournament’s growth and enhancing the sport’s visibility across the country.

Next Media is already the official media partner of the Uganda Golf Union.
