The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) concluded its Football Management and Administration Course II (FAMACO II) on Friday at Crane Paradise Hotel, Kisasi, with a graduation ceremony presided over by FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo.

Thirty-eight participants received certificates of merit after completing the intensive five-day residential program.

The FAMACO II course covered a wide range of essential topics for football administrators, including the FUFA Technical Master Plan, TV Rights and Broadcasting, Marketing and Branding, Laws of the Game, Strategic Management, Football Governance, Football Infrastructure, Safeguarding, and How to Get Involved.

The diverse curriculum was delivered by a team of experienced instructors, including President Magogo, 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha, and several other FUFA officials and experts.

FUFA President Magogo expressed his enthusiasm for the program and its impact on football development.

“Over the past seven days, I have been the most excited person because I have been able to contribute to the development of football leadership,” he stated.

He emphasized the participants’ passion and dedication, noting that they invested their own time and resources to attend the course.

Magogo also addressed concerns about the program’s motivations, clarifying that the focus is on enhancing knowledge and professionalism in football administration, not political gain.

FUFA 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha reflected on the progress made since the first FAMACO course in 2009, highlighting the significant strides taken in improving football leadership.

Ronnie Kalema, Executive Secretary for Football Development, praised the collaborative effort that led to the program’s success.

Other FUFA officials, including Executive Committee Member Agnes Mugena and Deputy CEO Decolas Kiiza, echoed the importance of knowledge sharing and application at the grassroots level.
