Namagunga Hosts Chloe Memorial Tournament in Honour of Former Lacrosse Captain

Muzza High School emerged as champions of the Chloe Memorial Sports Tournament, held at Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga on February 22-23, 2025.

The tournament, which honoured the legacy of former Namagunga student and lacrosse captain Nyongore Chloe Innocent, saw intense competition across various sports disciplines.

Empower International Academy finished as first runners-up, while hosts Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga secured third place.

Bombo Army Secondary School came in fourth, followed by Kigezi High School in fifth and St. Mary’s High School Zirobwe in sixth.

Namagunga’s second team finished in seventh place.

Chloe’s family attended the tournament, embracing the event as a fitting tribute to her memory.

The competition featured remarkable displays of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, capturing the essence of Chloe’s passion for sports.

Through this tournament, Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga continues to celebrate Chloe’s enduring impact on the school and the broader sports community, ensuring her legacy lives on in the hearts of young athletes.
