The 8th edition of the Corporate Games is set to begin this Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the NEC Grounds in Bugolobi, Kampala.
With an expanded lineup of sporting disciplines, including the introduction of Kart Racing and Kwepena, this year’s edition promises to be more engaging than ever under the theme Inspiring Corporates Through Sport.
The announcement was confirmed by Corporate Games General Secretary Thomas Bamutezze, who emphasized the growing enthusiasm among participating companies.
“We are excited to officially kick off the 2025 edition this weekend with even more energy and new games added to the schedule,” he stated.
He assured the public and corporate teams of a well-organized event, featuring a diverse range of competitions such as football, netball, volleyball, basketball, woodball, athletics, aerobics, swimming, chess, cycling, the Corporate Run, sack race, and the highly anticipated Tug-of-War.
Beyond competition, the Corporate Games have maintained a strong focus on philanthropy. Last year, proceeds from the Corporate Run supported maternal health initiatives, making a tangible difference for expectant mothers.
Bamutezze revealed that this year’s charitable efforts will continue to impact communities, with details on the beneficiary organizations set to be unveiled during the opening weekend.
The 2024 edition ended in thrilling fashion, with St. Francis Nsambya Hospital clinching the overall title and lifting the prestigious Globe Trophy at the awards dinner held at Hotel Africana.
With the stakes higher and participation growing, teams will be looking to dethrone the defending champions and leave their mark on the competition.
All games will be broadcast live on NBS Sport, ensuring fans across the country can follow the action.
