His visit is being coordinated by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), which will oversee his itinerary.

Among his first engagements is watching the crucial U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier between Uganda and Kenya, set to take place today at Hamz Stadium.

His presence is expected to inspire young footballers and highlight the growing prominence of youth football development in the region.

FUFA and Big Talent Soccer Academy have expressed their enthusiasm for Diouf’s visit, emphasizing the potential for collaboration in football development. “We look forward to welcoming El Hadji Diouf to Uganda and exploring opportunities for football development and collaboration,” read a joint statement from the two entities.

Diouf, a two-time African Player of the Year, enjoyed a successful career in Europe, playing for clubs like Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers.

His visit is expected to spark discussions on grassroots football initiatives and mentorship programs aimed at nurturing young talent in Uganda.
