Heathens’ Wycliff Santos Ssenteza Secures Loan Move to South Africa’s Belhar

Platinum Credit Heathens Rugby Football Club on Monday evening announced the loan transfer of their Prop, Wycliff Santos Ssenteza, to South Africa’s Belhar Rugby Football Club as part of the prestigious Greater African Rugby Program.

The move, effective immediately, will see Ssenteza remain in South Africa until November 2025.

The loan comes after extensive consultations and a thorough review of the program by the Platinum Credit Heathens’ Executive Committee.

The prop is set to embark on this exciting journey this week, where he will experience high-performance training and competitive game time in the Western Province Super League B—a vital opportunity for his growth as a rugby player.

Platinum Credit Heathens expressed confidence in the benefits of this experience, emphasizing that it would enhance Ssenteza’s skills and contribute to the development of Ugandan rugby upon his return.

The club also highlighted the potential for a long-term relationship with Belhar Rugby Football Club, which could pave the way for more players to benefit from similar opportunities.

This milestone marks a promising step in Ssenteza’s career, as he prepares to represent Ugandan rugby on the international stage. Heathens RFC conveyed their best wishes for Santos as he began this exciting new chapter.
