The third edition of the Absa KH3 – 7 Hills Run is set to take place this Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Millennium Grounds, Lugogo (formerly KCCA Grounds), bringing together runners of all levels for a cause beyond the finish line.
Organized by Absa Bank Uganda in partnership with the Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3), the event is more than just a race—it’s a movement aimed at transforming the lives of disadvantaged girls across Uganda.
Participants will tackle Kampala’s iconic seven hills, covering distances of 5km, 10km, or 21km, with every stride contributing to efforts in tackling school dropout rates among young girls.
Last year’s edition raised UGX 300 million, funding initiatives such as bursaries through the Joshua Cheptegei Foundation, menstrual hygiene support via World Vision and Amref Health Africa, and the provision of bicycles to ease access to education for rural girls.
This year’s race aims to build on that impact, continuing to address challenges like poverty, early marriage, and limited access to education.
The run kicks off at 6:00 AM with the 5km race, followed by the 10km and 21km races at 7:00 AM.
Registration is ongoing at UGX 35,000, covering a race kit that includes a T-shirt, water bottle, visor cap, and string bag.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early, stay hydrated, and pace themselves for the endurance challenge.
With both local and international runners expected to take part, the 7 Hills Run promises an exciting blend of fitness, fun, and community spirit. The run will be broadcast live on NBS Sport.
