A team of Ugandan referees has been assigned to officiate the FIFA World Cup 2026 African Qualifiers Matchday 5 fixture between Eswatini and Cameroon. The game is scheduled for March 19, 2025, at Mbombela Stadium in South Africa.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has entrusted experienced referee Kasalirwe Lucky Razake with the responsibility of officiating the high-stakes encounter.
He will be assisted by Katenya Ronald (Assistant Referee 1) and Mulindwa Hakim (Assistant Referee 2), while Nabadda Shamirah has been appointed as the fourth official.
Eswatini, currently at the bottom of Group D with no points from four games, will be seeking their first victory in the campaign.
Meanwhile, Cameroon, who lead the group with eight points, will be looking to strengthen their position at the top.
The match is crucial for both teams as they aim to boost their chances of securing a spot in the next round of qualifiers.
With the game being hosted in South Africa due to Eswatini’s lack of a certified venue for high-profile international matches, the neutral location could add another layer of unpredictability to the contest.
