CAF Confirms Match Officials for Uganda’s World Cup Qualifier Against Mozambique

The FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifier between Mozambique and Uganda is set to take place tomorrow March 20, 2025, at Cairo International Stadium, with the match kicking off at 3 PM Cairo time (4 PM EAT).

Ahead of the crucial fixture, CAF has confirmed the team of match officials who will oversee proceedings as Uganda looks to boost its qualification hopes.

Gabonese referee Atcho Pierre Ghislain has been appointed as the center referee for the encounter, with his compatriots Ditsoga Boris Marlaise and Moukagni Moukagni Cregue Fleury serving as assistant referee one and fourth official, respectively.

Cameroon’s Atezambong Fomo Carine will be the second assistant referee, while South Africa’s Molefe Tshotleho Enock takes up the role of referee assessor.

The match commissioner duties will be handled by Angola’s Manuel Candido Inacio, while Seychelles’ Hoarau Tina Sandra has been designated as the security officer for the game.

With Mozambique unable to host the game on home soil due to the lack of a FIFA-approved stadium, the match will be played on neutral ground in Egypt, an advantage Uganda will be keen to capitalize on.

Both teams are tied on six points in Group G, making this fixture a high-stakes encounter in the battle for a 2026 World Cup spot.

Uganda will be hoping to finish top of the Group by the end of the qualification round to guarantee a place at next year’s world cup in USA.
