DR Congo’s Jean Jacques Ngambo has been appointed as the center referee for Uganda’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Guinea on Tuesday, March 25, at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Ngambo will be assisted by compatriots Blaise Nabina Sebutu (Assistant Referee 1) and Guylain Ngila Bongele (Assistant Referee 2). Pierre Kibingo Numbi, also from DR Congo, will serve as the fourth official.
The match officials will work under the supervision of Ethiopian referee assessor Gizate Alemu, while Kenya’s Francis Oliele has been assigned as the match commissioner.
Ngambo, an experienced CAF-accredited referee, has officiated several high-profile African club and international matches. His appointment ensures that the Uganda vs. Guinea clash will be handled by an officiating team with significant continental experience.
The match, which kicks off at 7 PM, will be broadcast live on FUFA TV as Uganda Cranes seek to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to Mozambique.
With both teams vying for a crucial three points, Ngambo and his team will have a vital role in ensuring fair play and maintaining control in what is expected to be a tense encounter.
