The second round of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tournament 2025 kicked off last weekend across Uganda, delivering entertaining action from district teams, specialized units, and directorates within the force.
District teams, grouped into eight blocks after the first round, are playing home-and-away matches to determine the quarterfinalists.
The same format applies to Specialized Units and Directorates.
Among the specialized units’ matches, Crime Intelligence (CI) defeated ICT 3-0, PPG enjoyed a goal-filled game with a 6-1 win over 999, and Band Section dominated Headquarters 3-0.
Counter-Terrorism (CT) secured a 2-0 victory against Fire Brigade at Kyambogo Playground.
Featuring both football and netball, the tournament promises more thrilling encounters next weekend.
