A strong advocate for sports initiatives in Uganda, KCB Bank has supported various activities over the years, including rugby, volleyball, golf, and motorsports.

The Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run offers participants three distance options—50km, 25km, and 10km—accommodating both experienced athletes and casual runners alike.

Sheila Awori, KCB Bank Uganda Acting Head of Marketing and Communications, highlighted the event’s significance, stating, “Running is not just a form of exercise; it is a way to challenge oneself, push beyond limits, and foster camaraderie. The Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run demonstrates resilience and perseverance—a true reflection of the human spirit.”

Participants can register for the challenge by paying UGX 50,000 via the KCBPay platform, with kits available by dialing *244*9# and entering the merchant code 124810. This initiative underscores KCB Bank’s dedication to digital inclusion and streamlined technology solutions.

Aligned with its sustainability goals, KCB Bank will reward finishers with fruit tree seedlings to promote environmental conservation. This gesture symbolizes both personal achievement and contributions to greener communities and a sustainable future.

Awori concluded, “Through sponsorship of events like this, we aim to encourage Ugandans to embrace wellness while providing a platform for preparation for regional and global marathons.”
