KCB Bank Uganda has announced its position as the main sponsor of the upcoming Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run, reinforcing its commitment to fostering health and wellness through sports.
The event, scheduled for 3rd May 2025, will take place at Kyambogo University Sports Grounds, beginning at 6:00 AM.
A strong advocate for sports initiatives in Uganda, KCB Bank has supported various activities over the years, including rugby, volleyball, golf, and motorsports.
The Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run offers participants three distance options—50km, 25km, and 10km—accommodating both experienced athletes and casual runners alike.
Sheila Awori, KCB Bank Uganda Acting Head of Marketing and Communications, highlighted the event’s significance, stating, “Running is not just a form of exercise; it is a way to challenge oneself, push beyond limits, and foster camaraderie. Participants can register for the challenge by paying UGX 50,000 via the KCBPay platform, with kits available by dialing *244*9# and entering the merchant code 124810. This initiative underscores KCB Bank’s dedication to digital inclusion and streamlined technology solutions.
Aligned with its sustainability goals, KCB Bank will reward finishers with fruit tree seedlings to promote environmental conservation. This gesture symbolizes both personal achievement and contributions to greener communities and a sustainable future.
