Crested Cranes striker Fazila Ikwaput continues to light up the Indian Women’s League with unstoppable form.
The lethal forward scored all four goals as her side Gokulam Kerala cruised to a 4-1 victory over Nita FA on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Ikwaput wasted no time after the break—opening the scoring in the 47th minute, and netting her second just five minutes later to put herself on a hat-trick.
She completed her treble in the 63rd minute, before bagging a stunning fourth later in the game.
Ghanaian Rahama Jafaru netted a consolation for Nita FA, but it did little to spoil Ikwaput’s masterclass.
The former Kampala Queens star now has 24 goals this season and has notched five hat-tricks, comfortably leading the league’s goal-scoring charts.
With just one game left, Ikwaput is on the brink of winning back-to-back Golden Boots.
Her closest challengers, East Bengal’s Eishaddai Acheampong and Soumya Guguloth, are both on just eight goals.
However, while Ikwaput dominates individually, Gokulam Kerala sit second, trailing leaders East Bengal by five points with only one game left—confirming East Bengal as champions.
