Next Media, Uganda Rugby Union Renew Broadcast Partnership

Next Media and the Uganda Rugby Union have, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, extended their partnership and signed two agreements to enhance rugby coverage in Uganda.

The first agreement is a three-year renewal in which NBS Sport continues as Uganda Rugby Union’s official broadcast partner for the men’s and women’s Rugby Premierships and the Sevens Series.

NBS Sport will also provide nationwide coverage of school and university competitions, and the Uganda Cup.

The second confirms NBS Sport as the official production and broadcast partner for the 2025 men’s Rugby Africa Cup.

From July 8-19, eight of the best rugby playing nations on the continent will battle at the Mandela National Stadium Namboole for the sole ticket to the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

These are Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Namibia, Senegal, newly-promoted Morocco, hosts Uganda and defending champions Zimbabwe.

Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa and Uganda Rugby Union’s President Godwin Kayangwe and General Secretary Peter Odongo put pen to paper the two agreements in presence of executives and officials from both organizations.
