Luka Doncic delivered a standout performance, scoring a game-high 31 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 94-85 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, tying their Western Conference first-round play-off series at 1-1.
Doncic set the tone early, sinking 16 points in the first quarter as the Lakers stormed to a 34-15 lead. His all-around display included 12 rebounds and nine assists, while LeBron James contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds, supported by Austin Reaves’ 16 points.
Minnesota struggled to replicate their sharpness from Game 1, despite Julius Randle’s 27 points and Anthony Edwards’ 25. Edwards acknowledged the Lakers’ defensive adjustments, hinting at tactical refinements for the next matchup.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks faced another setback, falling 123-115 to the Indiana Pacers and going 2-0 down in their Eastern Conference series. Giannis Antetokounmpo fought hard with 34 points, and the returning Damian Lillard kept the game tense late on with a crucial three-pointer.
However, Andrew Nembhard’s timely response, coupled with strong contributions from Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, secured Indiana’s win in a heated contest.
Elsewhere, Oklahoma City Thunder solidified their dominance over the Memphis Grizzlies with a commanding 118-99 victory, taking a 2-0 series lead.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with 27 points, while Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren added 24 and 20 points, respectively. Despite efforts from Jaren Jackson Jr and Ja Morant, Memphis couldn’t mount a serious challenge.
