Saturday’s three Serie A fixtures have been postponed to avoid scheduling conflicts with Pope Francis’ funeral, which will take place in Vatican City at 09:00 BST on 26 April.
The 88-year-old, a lifelong football fan and supporter of Argentine club San Lorenzo, passed away on Monday due to a stroke.
As a result, Como vs. Genoa and Inter Milan vs. Roma will now be played on Sunday, while Lazio vs. Parma has been moved to Monday.
Earlier in the week, four Serie A matches were postponed following the Pope’s passing and later rescheduled for Wednesday at 17:30.
Despite the changes, the Coppa Italia semi-finals remain on schedule, with Inter Milan facing AC Milan on Wednesday and Bologna meeting Empoli in Thursday’s second semi-final.
Pope Francis, elected as head of the Catholic Church in 2013, was widely recognized for his love of the sport.
