Former Brazil head coach Tite has announced an indefinite break from football to focus on his health.
The 63-year-old, who guided Brazil to the Copa America title in 2019, was recently linked to a return to Corinthians, a club he has managed three times before.
However, reports suggest he suffered an anxiety attack the night before traveling to finalize the deal.
In a statement shared via his son’s Instagram, Tite acknowledged the need to prioritize his well-being, citing signals from his body and discussions with his family.
He expressed his continued passion for football but admitted that stepping back was the best decision for now.
Tite previously stepped down as Brazil’s head coach following their 2022 World Cup quarter-final defeat to Croatia.
He later took charge of Flamengo but was dismissed after a year in charge.
