Merson raved about the in-form Swede (26 goals, 6 assists this season), highlighting his pace and finishing as the missing link in Mikel Arteta’s title ambitions.
While acknowledging Newcastle’s growing Champions League potential, Merson insisted Arsenal is the “best possible move” for Isak.
Newcastle are keen to keep Isak, who is under contract until 2027 and earns around £120,000 weekly.
