Stanbic Bank Sponsorship Manager Isaac Ajiji has praised the increasing competitiveness of the Stanbic Uganda Cup, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to supporting local football.

Speaking at the semi-final draw event held at the Kampala Serena Hotel on April 28, Ajiji expressed excitement over the tournament’s progress and fan engagement.

“As title sponsors, we are excited that the competition is getting tougher and more competitive. We urge everyone to watch out for the exciting giveaways,” he said.

The semi-finals of the 51st edition will kick off with Vipers playing Kitara on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, followed by KCCA taking on Kataka on Sunday, 4th May 2025. The second legs are scheduled for 17th and 18th May 2025.

Stanbic Bank has been the title sponsor of the Uganda Cup since 2018, with the tournament providing a national stage for both top-flight and lower division clubs.

This year’s final will take place at Kadiba Stadium, FUFA’s newly constructed facility.

Kataka’s giant-killing run and Kitara’s title defense promise thrilling football ahead, as fans look forward to more surprises in one of Uganda’s oldest and most beloved competitions.
