Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has hit back at the “negative narrative” surrounding the club, despite their Europa League semi-final first-leg win against Bodo/Glimt.
While Spurs triumphed 3-1 in Europe, their Premier League struggles continue, sitting 16th after 19 losses. This contrast has increased pressure on Postecoglou and sparked fan protests.
“There’s always some sort of negative connotations to everything that happens at the club,” said
Postecoglou, urging a focus on creating a winning culture after a nervy atmosphere following Bodo/Glimt’s late goal.
Injury concerns are also mounting, with Lucas Bergvall likely out for the season, James Maddison facing a knee scan, and Dominic Solanke a doubt for the West Ham clash.
Despite these challenges, Postecoglou aims to end Spurs’ trophy drought stretching back to 2008.
