Former football star Patrice Evra’s MMA debut at the PFL Paris event on May 23rd has been postponed.
The event at the Accor Arena, headlined by Mansour Barnaoui vs. Archie Colgan, has been rescheduled for an unannounced date.
Evra, 43, who retired from football in 2019 and has been training since 2016, was set for his first MMA fight.
He had jokingly called out former rival Luis Suarez as a potential opponent, referencing their past on-field clashes.
The PFL has not given a reason for the delay. Evra stated, “I love this game too” in a press briefing.
The Professional Fighters League is the second-largest MMA promotion worldwide.
