Kemis Ibrahim Eyes Redemption in UBCL Return After Season Finale Defeat

Kemis Ibrahim (L) connects with a punch against Adriko Jimmy during the intense Boxing Champions League Season 3 Finals

After suffering a narrow defeat in last season’s Uganda Boxing Champions League (UBCL) finals, Mutajjazi Boxing Club’s lightweight standout Kemis Ibrahim is set to return to the ring with renewed determination.

The elite 60kg fighter will headline Week 2 of Season 4 on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Club Obligato in Kampala.

Ibrahim’s last outing saw him fall to Adriko Jimmy of KCCA Boxing Club in a tense 4:1 split decision at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo.

The loss ended his unbeaten run and dashed his hopes of securing the league title. Now, with the new season underway, Ibrahim is focused on reclaiming his place among the top fighters in the division.

He faces Mugisha Patrick of Cobap Boxing Club in what is expected to be a fiercely contested bout.

Both fighters are known for their aggressive fighting styles and tactical awareness, and their matchup is one of the most highly anticipated showdowns on the 27-bout card.

The Saturday event will feature a full evening of action across various weight divisions, highlighting both junior and elite-level boxers.

Clubs such as Lukanga, KCCA, Cobap, Mutajjazi, and others will be represented in what is shaping up to be another thrilling chapter in Uganda’s premier boxing league.

Gates open at 4:00 PM EAT, with tickets priced from UGX 20,000 for ordinary seating. Fans unable to attend in person can catch the live broadcast on NBS Sport.
