Jalen Brunson’s 39 points powered the New York Knicks to a 121-113 victory over the Boston Celtics, putting them one win away from their first NBA Finals since 2000.
The Knicks rallied from a 14-point third-quarter deficit to take a 3-1 Eastern Conference semi-final lead.
The Celtics also lost Jayson Tatum to a lower body injury in the fourth quarter.
Brunson said, “We didn’t quit, kept fighting.” The Knicks can clinch the series in Boston on Thursday.
In the Western Conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves are also one win from the finals after a 117-110 road win against the Golden State Warriors.
Anthony Edwards scored 30 points for the Timberwolves, who overcame the Curry-less Warriors.
Coach Chris Finch’s half-time talk sparked a decisive third-quarter run. The Timberwolves host game five on Thursday.
