Uganda Cranes midfielder Ibrahim Kasule delivered a masterclass performance in the early hours of Thursday morning, netting a stunning hat-trick to become New York Red Bulls II’s all-time leading goal scorer in MLS Next Pro.
The 21-year-old playmaker was in electric form as Red Bulls II stormed past Crown Legacy FC with a dominant 5-2 win.
Kasule’s treble took his tally to 27 goals, surpassing Brandon Allen to etch his name into the club’s history books.
Kasule opened his account in the 39th minute, finding the net just before the break to give NYRB II momentum heading into halftime.
He calmly slotted home from the penalty spot in the 55th minute before sealing the match ball with a composed finish in the 89th.
The goals weren’t just vital, they were historic.
It marked Kasule’s first hat-trick in MLS Next Pro, coming in his 63rd appearance for the club.
Red Bulls II’s other goals came courtesy of Rafael Mosquera (21’) and Ronald Donkor (69’), capping off a clinical attacking display.
Crown Legacy’s resistance came through Thiago Rodrigues (43’) and Dylan Sing (45’), but it was never enough to stop the Kasule-led onslaught.
A product of Wakiso Giants FC, Kasule’s growth has been meteoric since making the leap to the U.S., and this latest achievement is yet another milestone in what’s quickly becoming a promising international career.
