The highly anticipated rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is set for September 20. Their fathers, Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn, famously battled over three decades ago.
Eubank Jr. previously defeated Benn by unanimous decision in April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which is contracted to host this rematch.
However, promoter Eddie Hearn is considering the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium to accommodate a larger crowd, telling Ring magazine, “this fight’s even bigger, so you could possibly look at Wembley.”
Benn, who suffered his first professional loss in their last encounter, stated on social media, “Experience gained, lessons learned.”
The 2022 bout between the two was canceled due to Benn’s failed drug tests, though he was later cleared.
