The Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) rolled out the red carpet on Saturday at Kati Kati in Kampala for its first-ever Pool League Awards Ceremony, a lavish celebration that cost UGX 130 million and marked a bold new chapter for the sport.
The glittering event honored excellence across the country, celebrating the finest from regional pool associations, top-scoring players, and the most consistent clubs from the National Pool League.
Winners walked away with medals and cash prizes, with the spotlight shining on those who made the biggest impact on the table this season.
PAU Chairman Bob Trubish used the moment to lay out an ambitious blueprint for the new season. The 2025 calendar is already underway, kicking off with Club Knockout Stages and building up to high-stakes action including the much-awaited National Pool Open.
Speaking to NBS Sport, reigning champions were anything but shy. They delivered a direct warning to rivals, pledging to return sharper, stronger, and hungrier for success.
Marion Sheila Kisakye, defending car champion, didn’t mince her words. “I’m ready to defend my title in the upcoming National Open. I’m fully prepared to bring back my crown,” she said.
