Uganda will be represented by seven para athletes at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships set for September 26 to October 5 in New Delhi, India.
The competition will bring together the world’s best para athletes in track and field, with Uganda entering participants across middle-distance, sprints, and field events.
David Emong will compete in the T46 1500m, while Oryema Jonas is lined up for both the T13 1500m and 5000m.
Masisa Fred will run the T11 400m, and Uganda will also field two athletes in the T47 400m: Kaddu Venswa and Aciro Prisca.
In the field events, Anzoa Anna will throw in the F47 javelin, while Oija Fred is entered in the Ab 400m.
The championships are expected to attract hundreds of athletes from across the globe, battling for medals and qualification marks in their respective categories.
