The FIFA President has welcomed newly elected Member Association (MA) Presidents from Africa while also meeting women coaches attending a FIFA development workshop at the Mohammed VI Complex in Rabat, Morocco.

In addition to engaging with the new MA leaders, the FIFA President visited participants of the FIFA Female Coach Educators Development Pathway, a capacity-building programme designed to strengthen the pipeline of female coach educators worldwide.

The workshop, held from 15 to 19 September 2025, brought together 20 participants alongside FIFA technical experts.

The coaches represented a wide range of African Member Associations, including Botswana, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Central African Republic, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

The initiative reflects FIFA’s commitment to enhancing opportunities for women in football, with a focus on building sustainable coaching pathways and ensuring greater representation in technical leadership roles.
