Manchester United is facing last-minute uncertainty over the availability of three key players—Bryan Mbeumo, Amad, and Noussair Mazraoui—for Monday night’s Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth.
All three have been called up for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), and the mandatory release date is Monday, December 15, the same day as the fixture.
According to reports, the club has given the trio “special status,” refusing to confirm if they will play. Coach Ruben Amorim expressed his frustration with the timing, telling reporters:
“We are still in conversation with national teams… The game is Monday, they are here, they are training, and we are trying to prepare all the scenarios.”
The loss of Mbeumo (7 goals), Amad (wing-back), and Mazraoui would be a significant blow to United’s recent form, forcing Amorim to prepare two different starting teams for their final training session on Sunday.
