Gateway High School buzzed with energy on Wednesday as 150 children took part in the CAF African Schools Football Championship Grassroots Festival.
Led by CAF Women’s Coach of the Year Lamia Boumehdi and CAF Legends, the event offered coaching drills, mentorship, and inspiration.
Twenty-eight young referees from a local academy also joined, fresh from CAF’s Young Referees Workshop.
“The CAF Grassroots Festival is a celebration of dreams in motion,” said Mukuna, highlighting CAF’s mission to nurture talent and empower future stars.
Staged ahead of the Continental Finals, the festival underscored CAF’s commitment to building a strong foundation for African football’s next generation.
