Record champions St Mary’s Kitende delivered a ruthless attacking masterclass, dismantling NUMASA S.S 6-0 to book their place in the semi-finals at the Dr Obote College playground in the 2026 USSSA Boy’s Football Championship.
The former giants of school football completely outclassed their opponents from start to finish, turning the quarter-final clash into a one-sided spectacle with wave after wave of relentless pressure.
Forward Denis Kisiriko emerged as the star of the evening after producing a stunning hat-trick, while Isaac Ssekate, Claude Wakenge and Jordan Tugume also found the back of the net to compound the misery for NUMASA goalkeeper John Fisher Lubega.
Kitende imposed themselves early and never looked back, dominating possession, creating countless opportunities and exposing NUMASA’s defensive frailties throughout the encounter. Their sharp movement, quick passing and clinical finishing left the opposition chasing shadows for most of the match.
Speaking after the emphatic victory, St Mary’s Kitende captain Collins Ochatre praised the team’s performance but insisted their mission is far from complete.
“We had a solid performance in the quarter final and I salute my fellow teammates. There is still unfinished business with the semi-final as we target the final” Collins Ochatre, captain of St Mary’s Kitende said.
The emphatic win now sets up a highly anticipated semi-final showdown against Amus College School scheduled for Monday.
Amus College secured their own place in the last four after edging London College Nansana 1-0, thanks to a decisive strike from Mudasir Ijosiga.
In the other semi-final fixture, Bukedea Comprehensive School South will battle Kyadondo SS for a place in the final.
Bukedea Comprehensive School South advanced after surviving a tense contest against Masaka S.S, eventually triumphing 4-1 in the penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Dr Obote College playground 1.
