Breel Embolo has received Esta approval and will join Switzerland’s squad in the US for the 2026 World Cup.
The 29-year-old forward missed the team’s departure while his application was under review due to a 2018 Basel altercation that led to a suspended fine in 2023. Clearance came after his US Embassy appointment in Bern.

Embolo, who scored eight goals for Stade Rennais last season and has 23 in 85 caps, is set to arrive Friday. Switzerland open against Qatar on 13 June before facing Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada in Group B.
