MotoGP has signed a landmark five-year agreement with Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM and Yamaha, securing their participation until 2031. The deal, modelled on Formula 1’s Concorde Agreement, guarantees each team around €8 million annually from TV, sponsor and circuit revenues.
The pact, reached with Liberty Media and MotoGP’s Sports Entertainment Group, ends the freeze on rider transfers for 2027.
Pedro Acosta will join Ducati alongside Marc Marquez, while Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio move to KTM. Pecco Bagnaia heads to Aprilia, Fabio Quartararo is set for Honda, and Jorge Martín with Ai Ogura will strengthen Yamaha.
From 2027, technical rules will shift: riders limited to one bike in practice, and engine displacement reduced from 1000cc to 850cc for safety and sustainability.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, SEG CEO, called it “a defining moment,” while MSMA president Massimo Rivola hailed “a historic day” for MotoGP’s future.
