On Wednesday afternoon, thirty three participants were awarded certificates for successfully completing the Grounds Personnel Training Course at Mandela National Stadium.
The ceremony was graced by FUFA Deputy CEO in charge of Football, Decolas Kiiza.
Organized for clubs in the FUFA Women Super League and FUFA Women Elite League, the course was led by expert instructor Jamil Ssewanyana.
The training comprised both theoretical and practical lessons to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in effective pitch maintenance and management.
The theory sessions took place at MultiTech Business School in Kampala, providing a strong academic foundation for the participants.
These sessions covered a wide range of topics necessary for understanding the principles and practices of groundskeeping.
Practical lessons were conducted at Mandela National Stadium, offering hands-on experience in maintaining and managing sports pitches.
FUFA say that the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills ensured that participants were well-prepared to apply their training in real-world settings.
