Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho’s Young Africans made light work of Ethiopia Nigd Bank en route to the 2024/25 CAF Champions League group stage.
After a narrow 1-0 win in favour of Yanga in the first leg of the second round of the preliminary round in Ethiopia a week ago, the two teams met again in Tanzania on Saturday for the second leg.
The reigning Tanzania Premier League champions demolished their counterparts from Ethiopia 6-0 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Immediately after the restart, Cement Mzize made it 2-0 for the hosts in the 46th minute.
Stephane Aziz Ki put his name on the scoreboard in the 77th minute for 4-0.
Mudathir Yahya also came to the part in the 91st minute before the former scored two more goals in the 93rd and 94th minutes to complete his hat trick.
Miguel Gamondi’s charges advanced 7-0 on aggregate and it should be noted that Aucho started on the bench during this comfortable victory for the Wananchi.
