Ugandan striker Emmanuel Okwi was yet again on the scoresheet for AS Kigali in the Rwanda Premier League.
Okwi scored one of the two goals as Kigali edged Muhanzi United 2-1 on the road on Saturday.
The hosts took the lead in the 12th minute from Samson Babuwa, and 1-0, it ended at halftime in favor of Muhanzi.
The 31-year-old Okwi stepped on the fore to equalize for the visitors moments after the restart in the 54th minute.
It was Okwi’s second goal of the season having netted the only goal of the game as Kigali edged Gorilla a fortnight ago.
Muhanzi were reduced to 10 men inside the final 15 minutes for Kigali to capitalize on their numerical superiority for a second goal.
Hussein Shabani won it for Kigali in the 87th minute lifting them to the third position with 10 points from five outings.
The Rwanda Premier League will return after the international break on October 21 with Okwi’s Kigali hosting Vision.
