Olila High Ends Winless Run in FTB Women’s Super League

Olila High School Women’s Football Club celebrated a breakthrough in their season with a well-earned 3-1 victory over Tooro Queens in Soroti.

After a challenging start to the season, Olila’s triumph lifts them out of the relegation zone, giving them a boost in both points and morale.

Sharon Achen, Marrion Amangat, and Lotyang Mary each found the net for Olila, while Tooro Queens’ Sharon Nabowa managed a goal for her side.

This first win of the season propels Olila to 10th place with five points, marking a positive shift in momentum.

Makerere University Shines with Dominant Performance

Meanwhile, Makerere University displayed strong form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Wakiso Hills.

The scoring efforts of Zainah Namuleme, Eva Nagayi, and Jemimah Twesigye led Makerere to third place in the standings, now with nine points.

This result underscores their competitive ambitions as they continue to chase the league’s leading teams.

New Coach, New Momentum for Kampala Queens

Kampala Queens also delivered an impressive performance, defeating Amus College 2-0 at MTN Omondi Stadium under the guidance of new head coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal.

Goals by Shamusa Najjuma and Anita Namata helped the team secure three crucial points, keeping them in the title race.

Now positioned with 12 points, they remain just four points behind league leaders Kawempe Muslim, showing promise for the second half of the season.

Kawempe Muslim Continues Reign at the Top

Defending champions Kawempe Muslim retained their lead at the top with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lady Doves, thanks to a decisive goal by Hadijah Babirye.

This victory extends their lead to four points, highlighting their consistency and determination as they aim to defend their title.

She Maroons and She Corporate Share the Points

Elsewhere, She Maroons and She Corporate ended their encounter in a 1-1 draw, with Lillian Kasubo and Jesca Namanda scoring for their respective teams.

Additionally, Uganda Martyrs and Rines SS wrapped up their match with a scoreless draw, each team adding a single point to their standings.
